Silas was given as an infant from a Vistani woman to Kerad Dyilf to raise in 736 BC. Kerad taught Silas the art of fighting and the knowledge of how and why he will be persecuted for his looks. Unknown to both of them, he is actually the bastard son of Othmar Bolshnik and a commoner.[1]
