Count Modest Artiari

Count Modest Artiari was the Count of Liffe, the husband of Countess Ingrid Artiari, and the father of George Artiari. Modest was prone to holding illicit affairs, and this proved to be his downfall. One of his lovers was secretly a vampire agent of the Kargat whom sought to make Modest into a pawn for her organization. Henceforth, she killed and transformed him into a vampire. This Kargat agent's name is Sophia d’Terrieux.

Sadly, the misfortunes of the Artiari Family did not end there. Modest's affairs eventually caught Ingrid's suspicions, and she verbally accosted him about his dalliances. Modest killed her and attempted to cover it up. However, his sun discovered the murder andd eventually staked Modest in vengeance. The incident left George quite mad and obsessed with fining a cure to remove vampirism.
