The odem is a malevolent spirit of an evil humanoid with insufficient strength of mind to become a full-fledged ghost. Odems are primarily spirits of possession, though they also have the ability to drain willpower from their victims. Odems delight in mental torture, both of those they possess and those around them. An odem abandons its possessed host after driving them mad and transforming them into a Lost One.[1]
Odems are known to be encountered in the following domains: Barovia[2], Borca[3], Dementlieu[4],Forlorn[5], Hazlan[6] Prior to its dissolution, odems could be encountered in Daglan.[7]
