The stahnk is a type of undead beast and is native to the Dragonlance campaign setting. Like all undead beasts, the stahnk is essentially a mindless killing machine that wipes out all life near it. Its bones bore up through its rotting skin. Horns adorn its head, and barbed ribs emerge from its chest. It is nigh impervious to slashing or piercing weapons, totally impervious to fire, and highly resistant to turning.[1]
In Feast of Goblyns, a monster called simply the Undead Beast dwelled within a pit inside of the Catacombs of Kartakass. Although it is not called a stahnk, its statistics and abilities match a stahnk perfectly.[2]
