Although Kartakass is known as the [Land of Song]], Milil has had surprisingly little following. In general, most Kartakans do not dedicate themselves to any religion or deity whatsoever.[2] In the Heart of Midnight novel, the character Gustav, former high priest of Milil, stated that Milil had abandoned Kartakass because there the people had reduced song and music to weapons of harm and murder.[3]
3rd Edition Ravenloft products do not mention Milil due to copyright restrictions on the license Wizards of the Coast gave to White Wolf. Instead, the Church of Milil has been replaced with the Cult of the Ancestral Choir.
