Rodrigo Polonte was corrupt Portuguese official dismissed for his incompetence. To gain revenge, Rodrigo made a pact with the Red Death. A string of murders later, the local police found they were not dealing with a mere human serial killer. Instead, Polonte had become a grimlock with the power to create darkness.[1]
