Vlad was a soldier of the Barovian army whom discovered that a Ba'al Verzi was in the camp of Strahd von Zarovich. Leo Dilisnya wounded him mortally, but Vlad survived long enough to carry word of an assassin to Commander Alek Gwilym.[1]
