Only one oak tree remains from what once was a Druidic sacred grove in the lands of Forfar. This grove has been marked by death and treachery, the first one being the hanging of Flora ApBlanc by an angry mob due to her relationship with the vampire Rivalin ApTosh; Flora was buried under the tree where she was hanged, in the center of the grove.
Some years later, while praying under this same tree to the gods for guidance on how to help eventual Darklord Tristen ApBlanc, the Forfaran Druid Rual was killed by Tristen, who drank her blood, and was in turn killed and cursed by her. Ever since that night in 1906 FC (222 BC), Tristen has been bound to this once sacred place, where in time he would build the castles of Forlorn.
