According to the Kartakan false history of the Invidian Occupation, Dargacht Keep was the central hub of Invidian control over Kartakass. The town of Skald supposedly developed around it. When Harkon Lukas was about to be executed, he delivered such a great oration that the oppressed people of Skald rose up and overthrew their oppressors. Dargacht Keep was burned to the ground, and this ultimately led to the expulsion of the Invidians in 613 BC. However flimsy the Invidian Occupation story is, there is evidence both in Kartakass and in Barovia to argue for the existence for the keep itself.[1]

In Heart of Midnight, Harkon Lukas claimed to Casimir that he only was only "mildly responsible" do with the burning of the Keep.[2] In Feast of Goblyns, Dargatcht Keep is simply referred to as the Old Fortress.[3]

Today the burned remains are basically flat surrounded by a perimeter of demolished rubble. Modern day, it is simply known simply as Dargacht Plaza[4]
