The Path of Corruption followed by the Red Widow Richelle de Mauvais. It is named for the concept of natural philosophy, the precursor to modern science.
- 1. Student of biology: Once a day, by touching a living creature's blood, Richelle can automatically tell whether that creature is afflicted with either disease or poison. A successful Knowledge (nature) check can identify the disease; a successful Craft (alchemy) check can identify the poison.
- Richelle's scent takes on a subtle, but unpleasant alchemical tinge. She can cover this with perfumes so humanoids without the Scent ability can't detect it, but natural animals (familiars and magical beasts not included) react to her smell with hostility.
- 2. Student of probability: (current stage) Once a day, Richelle can re-roll a failed saving throw or skill check as a free action. She must abide by the result of the second roll.
- Richelle suffers a -2 penalty to Dexterity.
