The creature is described as posing a "severe hazard to river traffic".<ref name="Ravenloft Gazetteer I, 46">[[Ravenloft Gazetteer I]], p46.</ref> It is possible that it is in fact native to [[Bluetspur]] for the ''Felgmøsge'' ("Mistmoss River") poured out of that land until the [[Great Upheaval]] in 740 BC.
