The sacred is authoritative. Its meaning may be studied, but not its legitimacy and its power may not be questioned. To question the authority of the sacred is to doubt the sacred, and the sacred is that which may not be doubted. For a druid, nature is sacred. For a druid to doubt that nature is sacred, is for him or her to cease being a druid.
