Duke Leopold of Austria (NPC)

Duke Leopold of Austria was a warlord of the 14th century who secretly made pacts with the Red Death. These pacts often involved rites requiring human sacrifice. He eventually experienced defeat and death at the hands of the peasants of Berne, Switzerland. They also desecrated his unmarked grave and removed his vital organs. Thereafter, the Red Death brought Duke Leopold back as a unique mummy. Although the Duke is ashamed of his maiming, he conspires to restore Hapsburg Dynasty and the the Dual Monarchy of Austria and Hungary as a means of implementing the Red Death's power.

Duke Leopold's lair is Castle Vrockstein, the ruins of an old medieval [[fortress] in the Austrian Alps. His minions include both the undead and the living. His undead minions include a legion of 240 skeletons that are significantly more powerful than the usual kind. As for the living, he has a qabal under his command called the Sons of the Old Duke.
