However, for several years, it has been the prison for Lady Gowena Ward-Barthold at her father's insistence. Making the best of a horrible situation, Lady Gowena kept up her martial training here and also studied both the exotic and the mundane in her grandfather's library.[1] And in recent months, she has left the tower to go horseback riding on a nightly basis.[2]
One of the most important items in determining Gowena's fate was the magical sword Night Veil she found here among her grandfather's old possessions.[3]
