A strange fiend from the Lower Planes, the malethnah's[1] appearance is that of an extremely attractive human or elf with elaborate wings of many colors. The face of a malethnah is constantly shifting from any one shape to another of a handsome man, a beautiful woman, or a vile snake. In the Demiplane of Dread, a malethnah typically tries to build an underground empire of some kind, such as a criminal organisation or a cult.
A malethnah casts spells as a wizard of 10th level. If a mortal signs a contract to the fiend in blood, the malethnah may grant a wish. Although they have common spell-like abilities, they may have more depending upon their ethical alignment as described in Van Richten's Guide to Fiends.
