Sachmet was originally a [[priestess]] of [[Bast]] who lived in [[Bubastis]]. She walked a dark path unusual for a servant of Bast when she experience pleasure at exacting punishment and final death against a [[transgressor]] of the faith. Gradually she grew to love inflicting [[pain]], [[torture]] and [[death]] upon transgressors, and eventually all the people of Bubastis grew to fear her wrath. Sachmet was a powerful and unique mummy who had a lair in the Koshka Bluffs in Nova Vaasa. She is a powerful priestess of Bast, the goddess of cats.
Sachmet was originally a priestess of Bast who lived in Bubastis. She walked a dark path unusual for a servant of Bast when she experience pleasure at exacting punishment and final death against a transgressor of the faith. Gradually she grew to love inflicting pain, torture and death upon transgressors, and eventually all the people of Bubastis grew to fear her wrath. Her hedonisticic love of inflicting pain would be her downfall. Kematef, a priest of the hated god Set, let himself be caught and and put before her. Before she could destroy him, he injected her with a fatal and incurable poison. Sachmet died soon thereafter.[1]
After she was mummified and interred within her tomb, the Cult of Set bound her to her tomb with the Staff of Set. As Nova Vaasa took shape, Sachmet's tomb was absorbed and left within the Koshka Bluffs. Sachmet remained imprisoned there until some workers trying build a rock quarry unsealed her tomb.[2]
