Zhakata's Taking

Zhakata's Taking is a ceremony performed by the Church of Zhakata performed privately at the dawn of every morning. During the ceremony, the church's clergy offers up the sacrifice of previously collected food to Zhakata ostensibly so he may take his share of the food before it is given back to the G'Hennan people.[1][2][3] In reality, only a tiny sliver of the food is left to Zhakata, with the clergy giving the rest to themselves and G'Henna's soldiers.[1][2] What is left over is given back to the rest of the G'Hennan people at dusk during Zhakata's Dole.[1][2][3]
