Dread flesh golems may have been an invention of Dr. Victor Mordenheim. They are usually the work of those gifted in the techniques of surgery for body parts from multiple bodies must be fused together by more than mere sewing.

In other worlds a flesh golem is a standard type of golem, animated with magic by a spellcaster. In the Land of Mists distraught kin, grieving surgeons, obsessed medical researchers, and mad scientists stitch together body parts that though dark desire arise as dread golems. The first of these far more insidious and deadly creatures was animated by Dr. Victor Mordenheim with the assistance of the Dark Powers. The most profolic creator of flesh golems is Emil Bollenbach.
