A solar esclipse occurs on a day when the moon is new according to a cycle that it far more elaborate than the solar cycle governing the rising and the setting of the sun.
The Church of Belenus interprets solar eclipses as ominous portents.[1]

Successfly predicting a solar esclipe is possible, but is very difficult and requires Knowledge (astrology) or Knowledge (astronomy) as opposed to knowledge (nature).
