In 698 BC[1], Ludmilla Markov, wife of Barovian butcher Frantisek Markov, discovered her husband's foul fleshcrafting experiments he was performing on his animals. She threatened to let the public know. However, he caught her and used her for an experimen just as he had used his animals. Ludmilla lived on for a few days of torturous existence [1]
