Bryonna was born in Kellee and raised by Rima. She now lives in Viktal. She is the former best friend of Lorelei and was, for a time, imprisoned by The Inquisitors under suspicion of fey-influence.
Background
As a child, Broynna was orphaned by goblins. They also left her horribly scarred. Although charismatic and kind, it came as a surprise when Ivan D’Ogmai gave her his proposal for marriage.[1]
Jealous because Bryonna had "stolen" Ivan's love, Lorelai pretended to be cursed by Bryonna in order to win back Ivan. Ivan rejected her again, and things escalated when Lorelai's deception drew the fell attentions of an insidious boowray. Egged on and manipulated by the boowray, Lorelai bore false witness to Bryonna's guilt in front of the townspeople, ultimately resulting in Bryonna's condemnation as a witch[2] and Ivan becoming a wanted man after failing to free her[3]. If Bryonna had been found guilty, then Wyan, Lorelai's father, would have ordered Bryonna's execution by .[4]
