Dyrskov
The Dyrskov ("Beastwood") fronts the Barovian frontier a little north of the Old Svalich Road to the edge of the Shadow Rift and fronts the Shadow Rift to a little south of the Little Borchava River. It covers the southern half of the Vaesen Foothills that themselves fronted the Baloks of vanished Malkovia. The forest's evil reputation improved with the disappearance of that land, held to be the source of aberrent creatures of all descriptions. Still the presence of the Shadow Rift is no boon, and rumours are commonplace of lumberjacks falling prey to black fey. The forest is home to the infamous Centaur, perhaps a holdout from the bad Markovian days.
