In the Vaasi story written by Ansgar, Haldor was a military hero whom bored a star-crossed love for Huldra. When they were ordered to lead armies against each other, Haldor sabotaged his efforts and was killed. Unfortunately, Gundra pulled the same stunt and died as well.[1]
