Varno is the county of Ustalav that is the furthest east, connecting to the plains of Nova Vaasa. A great number of farms and other places of agriculture are located here. Lacking the feuds and ruins that cause worry in other counties within Ustalav, Varno has an air of noticeable peace around it, perhaps even disturbingly so.[1]
In 734 BC Varno made a land grab for a stretch of borderlands called Dragosvet Plains. This land technically belonged to Ardeal, so Varno's efforts caused the War Without Rivlals. The war wore on for four years, ending with the Dragosvet Plains turning in a trench-filled wasteland now called the Furrows. The whole matter left both Varno and Ardeal simmering with lingering resentment towards each other.[2]
