This section contains canon info from officially published sources |
The assassin imp is a fiend sometimes given by the Dark Powers to a mage of Lawful Evil alignment whom casts the find familiar spell. Like any [dread familiar]], an assassin imp is loyal to its master to a fault, viciously murdering any it sees as a threat to its master, even when the master wishes it not. These murders are usually committed in cruelly ironic ways. Moreover, an assassin imp binds its master to the Demiplane of Dread as it perishes if its master escapes, causing the usual penalties.[1]
Assassin imps may be encountered in the Shadow Rift[2].
