Jeref Maurgen

In Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, Jeref Maurgen is the husband of Helene Maurgen, the person who supplies one of the possible module hooks given in the book. Jeref was a former adventurer who ventured in Barovia with equipment suitable for a monster hunter. While there, he at some point encountered Varikov the Trapper and was murdered. His stuffed, taxidermy remains are held in Varikov's Cave.[1]
