Rongeise Steel

The swordsmiths of Ste. Ronges are particularly devout in their dedication to the Church of Ezra, and they are known to be particularly adept in their craft. Rongeise swords are known for their exceptional make on the one hand, but on the other, Ezra is said to afflict those who wield the swords callously or mercilessly. There is some truth to this legend, for if a sword made with Rongeise steel and made into a magic weapon by an Ezrite cleric, that sword will become cursed. If a wielder used such a sword to kill a sentient creature unprovoked, the blade will cause the user to become obessively protective and infatuated with it, eventually turning into a bladewight when enough of the wielder's sanity has rotted away.
