In the Strahd's Servitor dread possibility, Besczu was a Paridoner dread doppelganger that fled to Barovia after Paridon was absorbed into the Mists. Stealing money from the burgomaster of Immol, Besczu brought down the wrath of Strahd whom turned the doppelganger into a servant, a vampire spawn with its Change Shape and Detect Thoughts special abilities somehow intact. This "doppel-vampire spawn" now serves Strahd as a spy and executioner, currently stationed at Castle Hunadora where it keeps an eye on Gabrielle Aderre and the Gundarkite rebels. Besczu wait order to kill the Invidian witch along with Ardonk Szerieza and Matton Blanchard once they are no longer useful in pestering Malocchio Aderre.[1]
