Gundar River

Originally flowing through the domain of Gundarak before it was absorbed by neighboring lands, the Gundar River is a major tributary of the Musarde River. It flows from Forlorn downriver through the Gorge of Passing Sorrow into Barovia past the western edge of the Bloodfang Hills and through the souther Balinok Mountains into Invidia.

Ravenloft products give differing accounts of what is the ultimate water source for the Gundar River. The Red Box set stipulates that Barovia is the ultimate source of river, whereas Gazetteer I says that Forlorn lies upriver with Mount Arawn at its highest point. Most maps suggest that the river connects from the Lake of Red Tears.
