A Host's Revenge is a magic item taking the form of a door knocker or a similar fixture attached to a building. The Host's Revenge is a powerful ward that affects wrongdoing guests who enter the house accepting the host's hospitality but yet committing transgressions upon said host. It allegedly afflicts the wrongdoing guest with harm several times over the guest's transgression. The reality of the Host Revenge's power may vary from afflicting curses of magnitudes varying with the transgression, or it might afflict terrible nightmares upon the betrayer until recompense is made. It could possibly only affect a character with one or more failed a Powers Check, in this case it multiplies the chance of failure on the next one by 2.^[1]
