Ophelion

Ophelion' is a celestial who was cursed to become a vampire. Coming to the twisted understanding that vampirism represented a state of higher transcendence, Ophelion founded the Dark Angels, a religious sect of vampires striving to throw off the degradation of human emotion and achieve total self-mastery. Ophelion spends most of his existence now asleep in his crystal coffin, from where he communicates telepathically with the four elites of the order's high council. They drink his blood and have gained the benefits of the half-celestial template, though with shadow wings. They, in turn, allow the next lower members to drink upon their blood and become planetouched.
