From Mistipedia
Marina is the first reincarnation of Tatyana Federovna. She lived in Berez, in the home of Burgomaster Lazlo, who she called "Papa Lazlo". Strahd met her when he purchased some books from Lazlo in the guise of Vasili Von Holtz. Lazlo staked her when Strahd began to turn her into a vampire.
