A medium turned madman by the spirits unleashed from the Requiem, Alistair Richmond's sanity has been broken by numerous possessions of his body since that time. He has been locked away in several asylums, only to escape each one. in the rare moments he is of a rational mind, he suffers from depression and suicidal thoughts.[1]
