Built around a great oasis, Anhalla is a time-eroded city turned ghost town in central Sebua near Tiyet's Estate. Many of the city's original buildings have fallen to ruin. Some newer homes constructed of mud brick have been created, but Anhalla nonetheless remains mostly depopulated by humans[1]. Anhalla's only permanent living, human occupants are several dozen wild children that seemingly never grow up. Though they are the blood descendants of a former pharaoh of the Black Land, how the wild children came to inhabit Anhalla is unknown[2].
Beyond the wild children, Anhalla remains largely free of living humans. A tribe of nomads may stop by the oasis a single time per month for but a day to rest, hunt geese, gather dates, and such. Without many human inhabitants, Anhalla's aggressive monkeys and baboons have overtaken the city's structures, though these primates are preyed upon by hungry and violent jackals[1].
Tiyet is able to use the facilities and supplies at the residence of an embalmer on the exterior of Anhalla to create ancient dead to serve her[3].
