The Barovian Witch is an 5th Edition NPC Archetype from Curse of Strahd Barovian witches are Barovian men and women that make deals with Count Strahd and the Dark Powers, giving their loyalty and dark service in return for power and protection from the ravages of aging. They are shapechangers, able to disguise their normal appearances using Alter Self. They cast spells as a wizard and often taken cats, snakes, and toads as familiars. They tend to display hoarding behavior of even inconsequential refuse.[1] Several of the witches in Castle Ravenloft are allied with Baba Lysaga.[2]
