First emerging in 717 BC, the Claws of Sehkmaa was a cult and criminal organization led by Malken. They venerated Sehkmaa, the ancient Tygammi cat god and performed many types of illicit activities, from minor rackets such as bookmaking and extortion all the way up to kidnappings and even murder through [[poisoning]. Somehow the cult managed to fly under the radar of the law until Sir Tristen Hiregaard uncovered the cult's evil and seemingly killed Malken. After the cult was dismantled, Sehkmaa worship became illegal.
