Camille Dilisnya was born to Lev Dilisnya and Anna Kurdzeil in northern Mordent in 662 BC and grew up there on the Dilisnya Estate. She was the younger sister of Richtor Dilisnya and the younger half-sister of Oleska Dilisnya, Stepan Dilisnya and Yakov Dilisnya. She was the aunt of Clifford Dilisnya and Virginia Dilisnya, both werewolves, and the great aunt of Oton Boritsi, not a werewolf, and Michael Ratcliff and Winifred Ratcliff, both werewolves.[1]

Camille married Siegfried Grymig in 681 BC and discovered in 684 BC that her husband was having an affair[2] with Maria Diazi.[3] She poisoned both to death in what would soon prove to be the seminal event that gave birth to Borca. The Mordentish authorities failed to solve the crime, although the truth of the matter is now an open secret. As a precaution however, the parents of Camille had sent her from Mordent to distant relatives in Invidia. En route, she was seized by the Mists and Borca was formed with her as its darklord. She was soon also recognized as its rightful ruler. Whereupon she invited her kin to join her.[2] Yakov in particular is known to have done so. He persuaded her to help finance the construction of the Great Cathedral, which proved to be the springboard leading to the wholesale conversion of the Borcan to the worship of Ezra.[4]

Lev had taught his daughter the art of poisoning and poisonmaking. As a darklord, Camille was further blessed with the ability to craft any poison she could imagine. She was also cursed by the Dark Powers. Anyone who she trusted completely would betray her.[5] She took three more husbands. Klaus Boritsi was married in 688 BC. He fathered three children with her, Ivana Boritsi in 689 BC, Sulo Boritsi in 694 BC and Anton Boritsi in 696 BC. There were three grandchildren, including Oton Boritsi born in 724 BC.[3] Klaus was gruesomely poisoned to death together along with his mistress in 697 BC: Camille formulated a bizarre contact poison that merged his skin together with that of the chambermaid in question. Stepan Taroyan was married in 697 BC. He quickly took a mistress and fled the country. And Oleh Fortich was married in 698 BC. He wasted little time in attempting to kill Camille. He failed in this, claimed that he was acting at the instigation of her family, and was poisoned to death. At his funeral, Camille proceeded to poison to death the nigh entirety of her branch of the Dilisnyas, including her father Lev, her mother Anna, her brother Richtor, her half-sister Oleska and her half-brothers Stepan and Yakov. This mass parricide and in particular the murder of the praesidius and founder of the Church of Ezra threatened to provoke an insurrection. The Church was, however, offered a very substantial bribe and its leaders decided ultimately to enter into a pact with Camille. With the church back on side, Camille's public denial of any involvement in the deaths of her family was lent a thin veneer of truth and the danger passed.[4]

When Camille's daughter Ivana fell in love with Pieter in 709 BC, Camille was incensed that the young woman should find that which had eluded her for so many years. Camille disguised herself as Ivana and seduced him, then claimed that it was he who had seduced her, thereby proving in her daughter's eyes that all men were evil. Ivana took the lesson to heart, and killed Pieter by saturating her own body with a virulent poison. Two years later, she assassinated her mother and became the new ruler and darklord of Borca.
