Gerta Von Aubrecker is a fictional NPC within the Ravenloft campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons. First mentioned in the module Adam's Wrath, she was later described (as much older) in the chapter of Lamordia in Gazetteer II. In universe, she is the daughter of Baron Vilhelm von Aubrecker and resides with him in Schloss Aubrecker.[1][2]

Biography

Born into Lamordian nobility at 727 BC,[3]. Gerta was a young child of 12 when, in 739 BC[4], fleas of madness descended upon Schloss Aubrecker and afflicted the household with madness. Many of the Aubrecker family's personal guards killed each other in their confused states. In a delusional state, Gerta believed them to be her dolls.[5]

Gerta recovered from any lingering emotional trauma better than her father. Following the disaster, Baron Vilhelm lost his mind, and physical disease began to eat away at his health soon after. By January 757 BC if not earlier (the time when "S" enters Lamordia), she holds political rule as her bed-ridden father's regent. Now only 30, she nonetheless demonstrates more of an interest in active political rule than her more distant father.[6] During her visit with "S", Gerta demonstrated an active interest in "S"' stories and travels.[2]
