Category:Life
Life belongs to the living. Its two branches are flora and fauna. It describes animate matter and so concerns animation. It is constitutive of much of the dynamism of nature and is held to be, by planar mechanics and theologians, a manifestation of positive energy. Its incarnation is the body. It consists of capacity and incapacity. It may include consciousness and, in some cases, self-conciousness. Anatomy studies its material structures and physiology studies its material processes. Medicine studies the prolongation of its material processes. Theology teaches that the soul is its immaterial essence. Life's duration is finite, at least in mortal creatures. Its end is death. Its antithesis and doppelganger is undeath.
