Alain is with them and is just standing back looking as harmless can be as he can't really understand him . He'll let the party members who can understand him take the lead as we are just here for info on were we are .

I'm behind on homework, me buckos! Tomorrow is an all-work day for me.

I'll post an update pretty soon, possibly Monday evening. I'm going to assume the party heads towards the stone building spotted by Buckman, as that seems to be the course of action preferred by the majority. Naturally, if you don't want to go that way, post it.

I waited a bit longer to update, because I didn't want to railroad. As it seems the majority of PCs intended to go investigate the castle, I have posted accordingly.

Yeah, I tend to avoid posting just to say "Benn nods."

Not sure if anything I've come across would refer to a bear or an owl. Maybe a knowledge roll? You can just ask for the d20 if you don't want to tip me off with the category.

Well, Benn may not be a great outdoorsman,but he knows enough to expect bears and owls both to live in a country of wild forests. There's plenty of prime habitat for all sorts of animals, in a place like this...

He didn't notice anything special at the clearing.

Alain is pretty darned sure that the weeping is coming from a certain pile of fallen stone bocks and rotted timbers in the middle of the courtyard. The mound of stone and wood is only about the size of small cart. It's a short distance away from the base of the NE tower. He cannot see any movement from the pile, but maybe there's something underneath it, or hiding behind it, just out of sight.

Making a move silently check at 24 and spot check at 24 for total for when he gets close enough to possible see someone or something .
