I could answer exactly zero of these, though i recognized several of the authors. Methinks I have yet to read some gothic fiction...

You scored 7 out of a possible 10

Well, you've seen the dark side, but you didn't stick around for very long, did you?
I am insulted!

5 out of 10, and sometimes because of luck I guess.

It isn't so much about gothic fiction itself as about the history of gothic writing, and the parody of it.

I got 6, but only one of them I knew was right, and 3 were educated guesses. The rest were just random guesses.

Actually, there must be one or two mistakes in it.

I had 8 of 10 for sure; either I clicked on the wrong spots by accident,
or the quiz is buggy.

Edit: I should point out that my high score is not because I am awesome, but because I am specializing on the literature of the romantic era;
bluntly said, it's my job to know the Canon of Romantic Adventures and other related Publications.

Yeah, and I have enjoyed it greatly, lately.
"Lorna Doone" is a rather... Special book.

yes, I had the same problem. I know I clicked wuthering heights, but it gave me little women. I adjusted my score accordingly

Only six out of ten, here. Probably because I never could stomach that subset of Gothic horror that was really just proto-romance novels with cobwebs... :P

Four out of ten for me, I guess this is good incentive to catch up on all those gothic horror books I've been wanting to read.

FWIW, since most, if not all of them are in the public domain,
you will find very good and unabridged audio book interpretations over at:

http://librivox.org/

Mostly awesome, and free and legal stuff. :)

Considerably more convenient than working through the book all by oneself; the prose of those Romantic books is often too tenacious too enjoy reading.
