He stops and waits with his scimitars out, when the dogs come in melee range he will attack. Just since is ready action will attack first regardless init. If you don't play ready actions it's ok, he will attack them when is his turn.
- The first 2 Feats a wizard should take are "point blank shot" and "Precise shot"!

They aren't coming, looks like. The noises are not getting closer if you stop walking. It sounds like the beasts are attacking something or someone just around the bend....
