Skip is fine, Karim and Dofur (guess he follows) will get the thugs to the headquarters and try to find out what they can. If anyone asks who they are and why have weapons out he will tell them that they are in mission for Captain Thilbaut and they have been attacked by the thugs. Once in headquarters will ask to speak to the Captain and of course ask where are their companions. Karim will also ask a gendarme to inform his boss that he will not go to work for a few days.

I'm assuming you guys would have sent the man, Drogo, killed by Jonathon Maytr. Nots ure what you'd though you could learn from Klaus, who was killed by Clothard's men.
Both men were Falkovnian, which may have confused some players.

I double checked the canon map scales, and found to my surprise that the Core wasn't as tiny as I had thought. Thus, merely doubling the canon distances/map scale is enough. The Core would then be about 380 miles square, or 144,400 sq miles. That's bigger than modern Germany. Plenty of room for all the Core domains and then some, with many miles of wilderness to boot!

Roads in most countries are dirt roads/wagon trails, and heavy rain may render them impassable. Some regions are only accessible by crossing trackless forests and rugged piedmont.
River travel is faster, but only going with the current. Even then, there are the risks of running aground on sandbars, getting mired in marshy stretches of water, holing on rocks, capsizing in rapids, etc.

I may shorten the river travel times given in previous threads, but otheriwse play thus far won't be ret-conned much.

Ha! Glad you caught that. As of tomorrow, we will have spent a month real time on this day in-game. Not complaining or anything, I just think it's interesting that this is probably our longest real-time day in the game so far.
