Maybe a ravenloftian salt elemental could look like a mummy made of salt?

Sounds cool.

Have you seen The Mummy (1999)?

I seem to recall a weird salt trap that exploded and insta-dessicated a tomb robber.

I think they refer to it as salt acid or something of the like, but 'salt acid' is a crude reference to hydrochloric acid, which was originally obtained from salts like rock salt or table salt. Extremely concentrated hydrochloric acid would be consistent with what is shown in the movie, as would aqua regia, a solution of hydrochloric and nitiric acids. And seeing as aqua regia was known at least in the 1300s, it would not be out of place in some Ravenloft settings. But that's kind of a digression from the topic. Suffice to say, that, sadly, I know of no real-world salt that could insta-dessicate a person.

Salt-acid
Ahhhhhhh, cooooool!

That makes a lot of sense.

I haven't seen the film since opening weekend.

The trap would be fun in play.

A vacuum elemental shaped like a vacuum cleaner could possibly work for a ravenloftian campaign that had a lot of humor in it.

I had to look this one up, and I might be misunderstanding, but is orgone the energy used in orgasm?

If so, I can understand how an elemental composed of that might be deadly, also I can imagine a mortician trying to explain why he couldn't get the smile from the corpse's face!

Joking aside though, I could imagine debauched Borcan cult, or some such group, attempting to summon "an entity composed of pure pleasure" with inevitable consequences.

PCs could follow the trail of devastation as the orgone elemental was drawn from fleshpot to fleshpot, hopefully spot the pattern in order to head off the monster before it strikes at the Grand Masquerade, or some such gathering of the great and good.

just a thought

LOL!

It might be interesting to use a vacuum elemental in a " haunted" pump or engine.
As with the steam creatures mentioned above.

Maybe a small vacuum elemental could have the form of a dustbuster?

Maybe the dread nature elemental could have pieces of (potentially) undead corpses?
