Gathering in Chicago

Post by Snake »

Jason brought this up on Scipio's board, and I thought I'd mention it here as well. Since it seems many people on these boards are from the Chicago area or around it, we were trying to figure out a time at which we could have a gathering of anyone interested in making the trip out here to meet all us ravenloft folk. Any ideas of what time of year to do this and on what day would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yep, I brought this idea up while celebrating the one year anniversary of Monte Mal. I was intending to bring up this matter around here as well, but it looks like Snake beat me to it.

Actually, the group at Monte Mal tend to be more centered in the Midwest United States. However, there are a number of people around here that would fit that criteria as well. In fact, we would welcome any other visitors who would be interested in making that road trip or flight to the Windy City of Chicago.

As for the details of the gathering, you can see the initial thoughts at the link above. The rest of them will be posted as we go, but we'd always appreciate some extra help and opinions.

I might be going to Chicago next March, in my first trip to the States. I'll stay for nearly a month, if everything goes well. It would be great to meet some of you there.

As I said on my boards... If anyone wants to road trip to Tulsa to get me I'd love to come, I just don't have a car at the moment.

Rumors of my death are mildly exaggerated. I got better.

Well, the Ravenloft gathering looks like it will be schedule for a weekend in mid-to-late May. However, that doesn't mean that we wouldn't get the chance to meet you while you are visiting the Windy City in March.

I could make it in March too, so long as it's on a weekend.

Thanks, but I'll tell you more when the time comes. I'm still very much in the "ifs", right now.

Actually, the discussions were from more than a year ago, but the discussion somewhat stagnated due to lack of interest at the time. I would imagine that most of the orinigal people would still be interested in doing something if their schedules permit it.
