What arcane spellcasting focus would 5e wizard S— use?

If I'd stat out S, I think I'd go with Aristocrat 2 / Wizard 8, myself.
Aristocrat for her background, weapons training and social skills, Wizard for everything else.
High ranks in Knowledge skills and Use magic device, some Heal for the vivisections.
Exotic weapon proficiency (firearms) and possibly Cold-hearted as feat selections.

She was supposed to be an "Expert" I think. Neither aristocrat nor expert exist in 5e, nor are NPCs stated like characters (stronger ones usually have higher stats/HP like monsters). So I did my best considering that she was going to be crazy MAD just going by the text.

Your work is nice; I think I'm using S in another way, for my Ravenloft; After all, rescuing a child from an abusive father would be the exact kind of thing Everlast would do; growing with a good mentor and father figure, she might grew up as nicer person.

My S- is mostly looking to doom herself, at least until she realizes the burden of Azalin's plan for her has been shifted to her daughter (who has been dead for less than ten years, so sub-9th-level resurrection is still a go). Azalin messing with her daughter is her breaking point, so she decides to ride a wrecking ball into Azalin's plans (and most of Ravenloft really). How S- manages that post what happens to her in Bluetspur? There is some foreshadowing in the Zytia Gaz...
