Quests to help me build early Barovia

Hello!

I’m currently running Vecna: Eve of Ruin and we have just entered Barovia. It’s a party of 4 Lvl 14 PCs 2 of whom have already played Curse of Strahd.

In V:EoR they are supposed to complete a version of Death House that happens several hundred years before CoS. I feel that it is an insufficient amount of time in Barovia, and want to also Include the castle.

Are there any old Modules or adventures that use NPCs that are different than Ireena, Ismark, Kolyan etc that provide some quests that would help me populate this early Barovia?

I can't think of any adventures which involve pre-351BC Barovia. The Ravenloft Gazetteer Volume One gives some of the history of Barovia, but I understand that's hard to find these days. The novel I, Strahd and the adventures From the Shadows and Roots of Evil might as well, but if I recall correctly they are much more focused upon the seminal events of 351BC and nothing earlier. It's certainly worth browsing Mistipedia (e.g. https://fraternityofshadows.com/wiki/Barovia) to see whether anything there inspires you. However, I don't think you'll find anything like ready-to-play encounters.

From the Shadows mentions some NPCs from right before the fall. But honestly, the history and (about your request) the name list in the gazeteers is in my opinion enough.
