Friday night question. In preparation for the Shadow Rift part of my campaign, I was rereading the VRGttFeys yesterday night and found this interesting thing (p 19) :
Once a fey body is damaged to the point that it can’t no longer function, the fey’s life force depart – perhaps returning to whence it once came – and the “body” that once cloaked it ceases to exist, dissolving back into the natural substance from which it was formed. This phenomenon frightens many who do battle with fey creatures: imagine a warrior’s consternation when his bleeding opponent simply vanishes, leaving nothing behind except a pile of leaves or a pool of water!
Very cool!
Let’s imagine what the main 9 breeds leave behind their “death”:
Alven – a pile of spices and dried flower petals
Brag – little bits of hewn stone and wood scraps
Firs – a small pile of unusable metal scraps
Muryans - a small pool of clotting blood
Portunes - dried pieces of illegible papers
Powries - a small pile of stinking fluids and dungs
Shee – rose petals, with hints of calm music notes heard for a moment
Sith – a pile of dead leaves, with muffled pain screams heard for a moment
Tegs – vanishes in a small wind twister, like if the nature around was to turn to storm for a brief moment
That is of course the usual thing left behind, but a special fey might have a special unique twist to it.
Other ideas? Other feys to add to this list?

Fey's last remains

When defeated, a boorway collapses into a handful of mint leaves and hissing regrets.

Not just any regrets, but hissing regrets. Love that detail.Baron Von Stanton wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 11:31 am When defeated, a boorway collapses into a handful of mint leaves and hissing regrets.
