Pre-Conjunction Ravenloft
Which of Ravenloft's domains disppeared with the Conjunction? G'henna and Markovia were where the Shadow Rift is, I think, and then there's also Arak, Gundarak, and Dorvinia. The "Darklords" accessory says that Ghastria was apparently in southern Valachan - when did that move to an island? Are there any I missed?

Re: Pre-Conjunction Ravenloft
Ghastria moved when the borders/Sea of Sorrows shifted to erase a strip of land that wasn't marked as being in any domain on the original Black Box map. It wasn't mentioned at all in the Red Box, but we put it back in when we did "Domains of Dread."Orang Santu wrote:Which of Ravenloft's domains disppeared with the Conjunction? According to the Red Box, the only domains to "disappear" after the Grand Conjunction were Vechor, Sanguinia, and Farelle. Vechor then reappeared in Domains of Dread, and Sanguinia reappeared in the Ravenloft 3rd Edtion Campaing Setting hardcover. So technically, Farelle is the only one gone.
Arak was the domain of Gwydion and the shadow fey, it just relocated and was renamed the Shadow Rift after the Grand Conjunction.
Gundarak sort of disappeared...although the land and the people are still there, just annexed by its neighbors. Even Duke Gundar is still around, just no longer a darklord.
Similarly, Nathan Timothy is no longer a darklord, and his domain of Arkandale became part of Verbrek.
Dorvinia merged with Borca because the two darklords were in such close proximity when the Grand Conjunction ended.
Markovia is still part of the Core, it's just a tropical island in the Sea of Sorrows now (and now much more like its inspiration, H.G. Wells' The Island of Dr. Moreau).
G'henna, Bluetspur, and the Nightmare Lands are Islands of Terror now.
