I don't know many people that can will away a bad trip or decide they're tired of being drunk and just sober up.
I do.

You can't shake off the physical effects of something like alcohol but you can certainly control the rage or whatever.

LSD is all in your head. It does nothing to your body. It doesn't make you hallucinate anything...everything that you hallucinate comes completely from your own mind. You can't blame LSD for anything (note I'm not saying that being on acid isn't the reason you can be hallucinating but the lsd dosen't actually effect your thought patterns/mind/whatever...it just allows a lot more and takes off the safeties)
There is no feel good buzz and there is no downer feeling...you have complete motor control.

I know many people that can completely control exactly what they feel and see during an LSD trip.
hence the flashbacks.
Incorrect. You can have flashbacks w/o ever doing acid. Flashbacks are only caused by extreme emotional situations and the like. Which you might have while on acid. The amount of people that get flashbacks are very small. Heck I get flashbacks when I smell something that was around a lot as a child or when I hear music that I used to listen to a lot as a kid.
And I bought the quick antidote and long-lasting drug alot more readily than the mircorwave device that somehow goes through the metal of pipes and boils water in seconds but does nothing to humans who are 80% water.
Good point...Also the part where the stuff only affects you if it is in a mist is completely ridiculous. Water at average temperature is always evaporating anyway (even when it is ice).

And I think I noted when I posted that that he says that *now*-- at the time I posted my first comment to you the fellow was very much the picture of clinical detachment and emotional control (this was when he was first brought to court and confessed). It is, of course, possible that it was always a facade.

Not really... There are several drugs that are ineffective if they are taken orally. Stomach acid and/or hepatic metabolism break down many drugs that we inject. Therefore, other routes are used in order to avoid the first pass effect and ensure that medications have the proper effect. Inhaling a chemical (be it drug or medication) is one example of such a route.

As for your argument about evaporation, you are absolutely correct that the water would be constantly evaportating to begin with. However, the amount of evaporation at the average temperature would be a rather small amount. I would suspect that the small amount of hallucinagin entering the air would disperse too quickly to have much of an effect. A large and nearly instaneous evaporation, however, would produce a high concentration of the chemical in the air to effect the people.

Most of all, it is just a movie that doesn't actually have to make perfect sense in every aspect...

The Scarecrow... He might work as a fihyr (as per my article in the most recent QtR) or a Boogyman but I like the idea of him being a chemical-using man, possibly using the alchemical rules in VRA. A human obsessed with fear and terror and experimenting with people.
A tad more specialized than Dominia, but perhaps an associate or pupil of him even. Possibly less concerned with insanity but the full range of terror from everyday spooks to mind-shattering fear.
This is going to make me sound like the biggest n00b out, but who's Dominia?
Home is behind,
The world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread,
Through shadow,
To the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.

Mist and shadow,
Cloud and shade,
Hope shall fail,
All shall fade.

Dominia is an island off the coast of Dementlie and Lamordia in the Sea of Sorrows that is the home of the finest and best known asylum on the Core. At least according to some, there is scholarly debate on the subject.
